Accessibility statement for CartCARE
Last reviewed: October 5, 2026
Our commitment
CAREier wants everyone who restocks, inspects and manages carts to be able to use CartCARE, including people who use a keyboard instead of a mouse, a screen reader, screen magnification, voice control or high-contrast settings. We design and test the CartCARE web application against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and the Revised Section 508 Standards.
Accessibility features
- Keyboard operation. CartCARE is designed to be used with a keyboard alone, and we test its pages and dialogs that way. A Skip to main content link is the first thing the Tab key reaches on pages inside the application. Anything you can drag and drop, such as reordering a list or moving a cart, also has a keyboard alternative: a button or a keyboard shortcut that does the same thing.
- Screen reader support. Pages have one main heading, labeled regions and named buttons, links and form fields. Tables mark their column headers so that assistive technology can announce them.
- Visible focus. The control that has keyboard focus always shows a clear outline.
- Color and contrast. Text and controls are designed to meet the WCAG contrast minimums, and we do not rely on color alone to show information.
- Resizable text. Pages are built to adapt when you zoom the browser or enlarge text in your browser or operating system settings. Wide data tables may scroll sideways at high zoom.
- Status announcements. Messages such as "Saved", loading progress, errors and notifications are announced to screen readers without moving your focus. Notifications generally stay on screen until you close them with their Close button.
- Session-timeout warnings. Before you are signed out for inactivity, a warning gives you time to choose Stay signed in. Before the end of the 12-hour session limit, a warning offers Sign in again now, which starts a new session and returns you to the page you were on. Save your work before you sign in again.
Keyboard tips
- Press Tab right after a page loads, then Enter, to use Skip to main content and jump past the menu.
- Press Tab and Shift+Tab to move between controls.
- In a table (grid), press Tab to move into it, then use the arrow keys to move between cells.
- In a table, press Enter on a cell to use the button or menu in it, such as a row's Actions menu.
- While editing a row in a table, press Escape to cancel the edit.
- In a dialog, press Escape to close it.
- Help & Support, at the bottom of the main menu, leads to the Site Map, which lists every page you can open.
Known limitations
- Label preview. Printable labels are previewed in a third-party PDF viewer, which may not work fully with every screen reader. Contact us if you need the label content in another format.
- 12-hour session limit. For security, a session ends 12 hours after you sign in, however active you are. You are warned before it ends and can renew it by signing in again.
- Handheld scanner app. The separate CartCARE handheld app is not covered by this statement; its accessibility is documented separately.
Report a problem or request another format
If something in CartCARE is hard to use with your assistive technology, or you need information in another format, please tell us. Open a support request in the Support portal (opens in a new tab), where you will also find our phone number, or email CAREier Support at support@CAREier.com. Include the page address and what you were trying to do. If the problem is urgent, open a request in the Support portal and say so.
Help & Support, also at the bottom of the main menu, gathers the Support portal, the Site Map and this statement in one place.
